As you drive on I-75 on the West Coast of Florida, you will see billboards tempting you make a slight detour on your trip to stop and taste the amazing oranges of Florida. The Hancock Orange Groves are in a perfect location for those traveling on I-75. For our visit in 2008 you can’t pick your own oranges, but there is a nice little shop with FRESH oranges, and orange related merchandise such as magnets and t-shirts.
Date of last visit: 2010
The Hancock Orange Groves may allow you to pick your own oranges. It is recommended you call ahead to find out if the You Pick oranges is open – phone and address are below.
It is a Florida orange grove though, so worth a visit, especially during peak orange season which starts in November. The owner is very Florida Friendly, and will let you sample the oranges!

We stopped in on 12/30/09 and bought a bag of some of the most delicious oranges we have ever had! Great fruit and good prices. They also carry orange blossom honey from a near by farm, which is also excellent. We’re keeping Hancock Groves on our list of places to stop next time we’re down there.
